Back to work treats from Vodafone

Vodafone recently launched an exclusive campaign to make their customers daily commute that little bit more enjoyable.

As a little ‘back to reality’ gift following on from not one but two bank holidays in May, Vodafone treated 340,000 business customers a free hot drink and pastry.

Camden Foods, Pumpkin, Caffe Ritazza, Delice De France, Upper Crust and The Pasty Shop featured as partners in the campaign, meaning treats could easily be redeemed at popular commuter railway stations throughout the UK.

Customer journey

  • Lucky participants were sent an SMS message with a unique link to the promotional site www.backtoworktreats.co.uk
  • After finding out about their free treat, customers head to their selected venue before activating their e-gift
  • Here, the customer picked their pastry and hot drink of choice and presents e-gift at the till to redeem 

Clare Vangucci, Senior Account Manager at TLC Marketing, said, “After a month of bank holidays, half terms, sunny weather and Royal wedding celebrations, it can be hard to get back into the swing of things. Vodafone wanted to help customers settle back into their everyday lives by giving them a little perk to brighten up their day. People love to be surprised as much as they love to receive something for free and putting the two together is certain to bring a smile to customers faces.”

This isn’t the first surprise and delight campaign TLC Marketing have run for Vodafone. Just last month the telecoms giant surprised customers with Royal wedding treats and last week, their Christmas surprise and delight campaign won Silver in the Consumer Shopper and Retention category at the IPM Awards.

The campaign concluded yesterday (19th June).
